This week-long workshop is designed to strengthen foundational math skills and build confidence for students entering grades 7 and 8. Through. Engaging activities and guided practice, students will review key concepts including number sense, math facts, fractions, decimals, and percents. The workshop will also introduce and reinforce important pre-algebra skills including plotting points on the coordinate plane, graphing linear equations, understanding proportional relationships, and solving equations and inequalities. Students will leave with stronger problem-solving abilities and a solid foundation for success in middle school math. (minimum 1:5 teacher: student ratio)
High School Math
Monday, August 17- Friday, August 21 10am-12pm Teacher- Lauren White
This week-long workshop prepares students for high school math by introducing core foundational concepts from both Algebra 1 and Geometry through an engaging, hands-on approach. The first half of the week focuses on Algebra 1, guiding students from the basics of writing algebraic expressions to solving equations and graphing linear functions. The focus then transitions to Geometry, where students explore geometric figures, prove geometric relationships, and calculate perimeter and area. The workshop concludes with a comprehensive project on the coordinate plane that challenges students to apply both their algebraic and geometric skills to solve a complex, real-world design problem. (minimum 1:5 teacher: student ratio)
SAT Math
Monday, August 17- Friday, August 21 3:00-5:30pm Teacher- Erin Leviness
The SAT Math Bootcamp offers clear, focused instruction on all the important skills and strategies for SAT Math.
